Dr. Bassett is an infectious disease physician and clinical investigator at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is the Co-Director of the Harvard University Center for AIDS Research. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating innovative strategies for improving engagement in HIV and TB care and prevention in South Africa. For her Public Service Leave, Dr. Bassett will work at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health from September 2025 to April 2026 to design and evaluate childhood vaccination outreach and communication strategies. In addition, she is excited to use her experience to help residents and post-doctoral fellows explore career paths in public health.
