Alisha Holland
Gates Professor of Developing Societies
Professor Holland studies the comparative political economy of development with a focus on urban politics, social policy, and Latin America. She is currently working on a book about the politics of large infrastructure projects in Latin America. For her Public Service Leave, Holland will be traveling to Argentina to work with the President’s Council of Advisors in school year 2026-27. She will be working with the Council to develop new channels for citizen participation in green energy projects, to streamline bureaucracy, and to increase citizen trust in government.
